Unfortunately I don’t have the Sundance Channel.  If I did then I would’ve watched Elvis Costello’s show Spectacle.  Look what I missed:

Man, what I would do to be a part of their circle of friends.

I’m still looking for the perfect initial necklace, but no real luck.  On that same note, this jewlery designer under the alias of Yellow Goat (apparently that’s the actual chinese translation of her name) started following me on twitter.  It looks like her talent as a jewlery designer/maker is a recent discovery of hers and I personally think she’s making excellent progress.  I’ve decided if I can’t find that one “E” necklace, I just may splurge for this one instead:

In the City

29Jun09

Saturday night was excellent weather for a night time stroll around Boston.  Along the walk we came across a carousel in the middle of the city, booze cruises littering the harbor, late night hot dogs and fried dough, and seals swimming in the dark.  It just sucks I didn’t bring my camera … so here’s just a few taken from Brian’s phone.  Oh and the last photo is the fried dough, or an elephant ear … how suiting!

Drove an hour up the coast to Rockport, MA to get some fresh seafood at Roy Moore’s.  Fresh and tasty indeed.  We also visited an old fort down the street from my apartment.  There an old man gave us a little history lesson on the fort.  Apparently in 1775 that area was where the revolutionaries posted up to keep the British out after the Bunker Hill battle.  The fort was actually built in 1903 but that was the general area.  There’s more to the story but I’ll leave it at that.  The fort was surrounded by a grassy area that over looks Boston, and I’m told that it becomes “make out hill” at sunset.  More pix of the day after the jump!

Don’t watch E! True Hollywood Story on Michael Jackson.  It really took away all the nostalgia on him.  Despite all the scandal, he was a talented fellow … through and through.

And Big Ups to Miss Farrah Fawcett, she was a foxy lady.

What a way to start the day.  I had my coffee, dose of the Today show, and then bills for breakfast.  I gotta admit, doing all this has wrecked my nerves.  ‘Alls I gots to say’ is: wish me luck guys.  Its been raining the past couple of days so today is the first day of sun!  The bad weather kept me in and I got a lot of unpacking done, so I think we’re going to get some fresh air.  Maybe I’ll actually have something interesting post after the day is done.

234957Hello from Boston!  I have officially moved to Boston.  Ok, actually I should clarify: I’ve moved to Somerville, MA which is a hop, skip, and a jump outside of Boston proper/metro/downtown (you can call it many things).  I spent my first day unpacking my two boxes of clothes into my side of the closet.  I’m still feeling like I’m on vacation, but in due time as I get more settled I will soon be at home.  I figure one of the first things to do to make myself feel at home is actually make a home.  Starting with the closet.  A couple of posts ago I was dreaming about my ideal Container Store closet.  All of my ideas aren’t exactly going to work, but we’re heading over to the Container Store tomorrow in hopes to work some magic in our tiny two person closet.  I think Brian and I have at least 50 pairs of shoes between us, the Container Store has to have something to help us out.

The weekend of June 5th-8th is one to go down in the books.  Despite the 13 hour drive of traffic and rain up to Boston, the weekend itself was full of sunshine, boos, and coffee.  Seriously, could I ask for anything more?  The gallery is just a handful of the 200+ photos we took.  Thanx to Boo and Bri for coming up with me stuffed w/ all my junk in my itty bitty Golf.
